Tier 1 General Extension Time Span

Post by sajid mahmood » Fri Oct 23, 2009 7:32 am

Hi,

The validity of my Tier 1 General Visa lasts for three years.

I know the basic eligibility criteria for Tier 1 General extesion based on electronic calculation of 95 points.

However, In order to be eligible for Tier 1 Extention for how much length of time span am I supposed to live in UK exactly.

I mean the time duration or the comulative intervals needed in order to be eligible for Tier 1 General Extension period.

Kindly suggest please.

Thanks and Best Regards,

There is no specific rule saying that you must stay this much time for extension of your Tier 1 visa. However, if you stay most of time abroad, it would effect your ILR/permanant residence process, but it is a different thing. You can apply for extenstion in UK, as long as you can earn necessary points to do so. Hope that helps.
