Tier 1 - Previous earnings

Post by winmano » Fri Nov 13, 2009 4:36 pm

Hi all

My HSMP visa is expiring on FEb 2010 and am exetending my visa under Tier 1 category. I have a question regarding my previous earnings. I am considering the period of my salary as Jan 2009-Dec 2009 since I will be applying for my extension in December end. I was on leave in the month of Apr and hence was not paid for this month. Though , I was paid for the month of May and June , the description while crediting my salary was given as May salary and hence my bank statement says "May salary" for both months
So I am not planning to include the salary slips of Apr , May and June .
Let me know if this is an issue. I am getting the required points without the inclusion of these salary slips

thanks
Mano

I think you can go with the May-June salary if all the details and NET amount in the pay slip matches exactly with that in the bankstatement

But if u have enough points and not to complicate ur situation then its Ok u can leave but if u are tight on points.. its easy to put this case

1. You need to mention about the May-June salary how they are paid and how it is reflected in ur bankstatement and payslip
2. if possible get a letter from your employer (not mandatory) explaining the case..

other thing is since u wat to use Jan-Dec 09 period as earnings period and apply at the end of Dec.. will u get ur payslip and salary and bankstatement by the time u apply? if not u need to apply in 1st week of jan for all these to be in ur hand ready to apply

For VISA application, I always advice to apply KISS (Keep it Simple, Silly)

If you are getting points without confusing payslips then go for it. Make sure you mention this in detail on your cover letter. You are actually reducing the workload of caseworker, but do make sure that other documents are perfect and beyound any doubt.
