Important query abt how to enter in UK

Post by gunjans » Fri Sep 16, 2005 11:30 am

Hi Everybody,

I was out of this forum for some time 'coz HO delayed the process so much.......... but now i got my approval for HSMP and THANKS TO EVERY 1 ON THIS FORUM FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT & HELP PROVIDED. I COULDN'T HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT UR HELP AT ALL.

Now I have concerns for one thing..........

If my husband and myself apply for EC and suppose we both get it then is it possible the my husband fly first to UK without me (i am the actual HSMP approval holder) or we both have to go together.

Can any one tell me what is "Actual wording of the VISA written on passport of both 1st applicant & spouse"

Plz all can u give me tips for how to apply for EC from Delhi, India.

Though I am asking for lot but it's u all who made it possible.
Best regards,
Gunjans.

your husband is meant to accompany you - not the other way round

I do not think it is a good idea either, the spouse visa clearly states that it is for the purpose of accompanying the other spouse. From my experience immigration officials at the UK airports often intensively question first time entrants on HSMP dependent visas and so I would not advise anyone to take the risk of having the dependent arrive first. It is not necessary that you travel together but you should at least initialise the visa first.
