Seniors please help.
I was initially on HSMP and switched (as in extended) to Tier 1 General Highly Skilled last year.
My employer wants to sponsor me for a graduate diploma course. The course requires two days attendance per week and is full-time. I will be paid the same salary with normal yearly reviews and working for the rest three days.
Now the institution is saying that they can confirm that they would be able to offer me place without the need for me to be on Tier 4, as Tier 1 allows full-time study. Its a highly reputed legal institution, so they cant be wrong.
I phoned the Home Office this morning and they said that there is nothing stopping me to pursue any study as long as it doesnt interfere with my full-time work. The reason for this is my purpose of living here is to be in employment and work not study. However she wouldnt confirm if this particular study is interfering with my work. She said I need to make a decision.
I am unsure on what to do. This is a course in Law and I really want to study it. THe ambiguity is letting me down here. The HO Is not comming out clear. As far as I can say, the course compliments my work and not interfere with it at all, and precisely the reason my employer has taken the step to offer me this opportunity.
Seniors, Please advice and interpret my situation.
