Opinions on immigration consultants

Hello All,

I live in Pune.
I plan to apply for Tier -1 General in the first week of May, so was wondering whether to go through an immigration consultants like:

overseasmigration
Y-Axis
Opulenze

Any opinions /experience with any of the above would be helpful before I take a decision.

Also I have read all rules from the HO and the Uk visas site.

I am unclear about:-

1.Do we require covering letters for Application for Tier -1
2. Covering letters from Employers?
3. Self Letter as to why applicant is applying for Tier -1 visa.

Also anybody applied for visa post 6th April 2010 with new rules taking effect.

IMHO .. people who apply through consultants do not visit this website (unless their application through the agent is refused). So don't be surprised if your queries remain unanswered.
