Dependent application without passport !

Hi All,

I would like to apply for myself and my wife in one application. Since my wife is currently in her home country, doing her studies, I don't have her passport with me. Is it possible to apply together in the same application while she is not staying with me ? Like if I provide the required documents and later on, she would get her visa from the UK embassy in her homeland ?

Passport should be sent along with application.

I can ask her to post her passport, does she also needs to be present and provide biometric at the visa application center ?

One has to be in the country to apply. Dont think this is possible.
