Previous Income for Tier 1 General Visa-UK

Post by Kmore » Thu May 13, 2010 1:57 pm

Hi,

I am going to apply for the Tier 1 General Visa for UK. I meet all the required criteria. But I have question regarding the points for previous income claimed. I am a self employed individual ( We have a family business) but I am not claiming any points on the income derived from my business because I was studying in the UK last year and did not contribute much to the business and my income is only 2,10,000 Rs. But what I am claiming an income on is an interest that I received on my Fixed Deposit (Which matured in 2009) The interest I received is enough to bag 75 points on the income criteria alone. But I wanted to know if I can include the "Interest on FD" as an income? I have paid my taxes for this income which I earned and feel that it is an eligible source of income and shouldn't be a problem, but still need a clarification on this, so please help me out!

Thanks
Kunal.

No. If doubt remains, then make an effort to read the Tier 1 (General) policy guidance.
