Tier 1 (UK) - Earning Points

Post by gauravs9 » Fri Jun 04, 2010 7:24 pm

Hi All,
Just need to know 1 thing, I'm applying for the Tier 1 visa and for earning points I'm showing them the salary from 18-Mar-09 till 17-Mar-10, as after 17-Mar i'm in UK on Tier 2 visa, so is it ok that I can show the earning from in between months.
As it is coming between 15 months period.

Hi ,

Why are you changing your visa just after 3- 4 months ? if your contract is good and you have time it's better to keep your visa ( TIER2) and once you have solid grounds , apply for the TIER1 visa. IMO, you will here risk your chance of getting a TIER1 visa.

One of my friend got rejected here in UK ( he was on TIER2) and was applying for TIER1 just after 2 months or little more ... So be good to yourself :)
Thanks

Ali

aliq09,

what was the reason for rejection in your friends case? as policy guideline does not state such criteria. Even i am planning to apply with similar circumstances.
