Employer Certificate.. Quick response requested from seniors

Today I have formally asked my employer to issue me the earnings certificate. however, they say that they have a particular format for this which will only show my gross and net earnings with no break downs. they have suggested me to attach the break down of my earnings on a separate sheet and attach it with the employer certificate. I can also show the break down of my earnings on my bank statements.
Will that be ok?
A quick response is requested from the seniors.

Yes that is fine. Check the sticky by Chetan which has the employer letter template and previous earnings explanation.

Chetan's employer letter show the details on the employer letter that such and such amount has been paid on this date. However, my employer is saying that they will only mention the gross and net amount with no details. I will post the exact text once they give me the letter.

Only go for letter if you don't have proper payslips. For letter requirements read below.

This is a letter on company headed paper which clearly shows the applicant’s earnings during period claimed, and the date and amount of each payment. This letter should be dated after the period for which earnings are being claimed and should clearly show the applicant’s gross and net pay.â€
