EC approved

Just got my EC yesterday afternoon from British Embassy in Manila.

Timeline:

Submitted/picked up by courier: 10-Nov-05
Approved by BHC: 22-Nov-05
Returned by courier: 24-Nov-05

Start date is 22-Feb-06 (I've requested for a late approval date).

Its kind of odd as the Embassy did not take even the photocopies of the docs. Only the table of contents was missing from my doc package.

Thanks to all in the forum. Now the job hunt will be shifting into high gear.

So now you have to look for a job.

It would be great if you can share with us the experience abt EC & about what all docs we need to submit for Entry Clearance.

My EC application package consisted of the ffg:

1 - Filled up VAF1 forms
2 - Manager's check payment (for 4 pax)
3 - Original Letter of HSMP Approval from Work Permits
4 - Latest Bank statements
5 - Letter of accomodation from relatives in the UK
6 - Copies of properties that my family own (to further show proof of additional funds can be added)
7 - Job searches/posts
8 - Photocopies of the supporting docs.

The courier picked up our package on the 10th Nov and EC granted 22-Nov with the docs/passports returned on the 24th Nov. 10 working days in all was a the timeframe.

No questions asked / no interviews.
