FLR Tier1(HSMP)

Post by angel1241 » Wed Aug 18, 2010 1:11 pm

Hi,

I came to UK in Nov. 2005 under the HSMP program and after 1 year got an FLR - Extension for 4yrs in OCT 2006, which now expires in Oct. 2010.

I came back to my Home country in 2007 when my father got sick, however I kept working with the same firm REMOTELY from my Home country. And I’ve been working with them ever since then until now for 4 years.

Now, I’m looking forward to get an Extension, probably FLR for my visa for the next 4 years.

I just want to know do you think I'm eligible keeping in mind I've been out of the country for straight 3 years ?

Thanks,
A.

Are you paid in the UK? Pay UK taxes? Own property in UK? If not, then it is unlikely that your extension will be approved given the fact that you haven't lived in the UK, worked in the UK or contributed to UK economy in the last 3 years.

The fact that you left voluntarily also doesn't help your case if you presently have no ties with the UK (apart from a sticker in your passport).

Also, extensions cannot be applied for from outside UK.
