Dependant visa enquiry

Hi I am currently in UK under Tier 1 General category. I am working in a financial institution in a full time position. I am getting married next month.

Could anyone please let me know what is the procedure to get the dependant visa? Do I need to send my passport along with my wife's passport to the UK embassy in India?
