Tier 1 (G)- dependent. English test??

Tier 1 (G)- dependent. English test??

Hello everyone,

I am currently on tier 1 general visa. My wife has done her masters in UK and she is currently on PSW visa. We would like to change her visa status to Tier 1 general dependant next year.

Does any one know if she requires a mandatory English test for dependant visa application? Her master was completed in UK from recognized university does this mean she doesnt have to take English test?

You will need to leave the UK to switch category from PSW to T1G Dependent.

Also, while applying as dependent of T1G outside UK you do not need to show proof of English language certification. That is only for dependents of people settled here permanently.
