Urgent request for help. I have made a mistake...

Hello,
I was rejected HSMP because i did not realise that I had to provide the earnings only within the last 12 months. Miraculously, I took it for [i]at least [/i] the last 12 months...
so, what do I do now?
Can I appeal and argue something here?
My visa is also expired so I guess I cannot send a new application.
So, please help me with your advice.

and also, because my visa has expired (I sent HSMP and FLR simulatneously) does it mean I will have to leave the country within 2 or three days from receiveing my passport? or 28 days?
