After Getting EC ....

Post by hubroom » Thu Feb 16, 2006 12:37 pm

I have got HSMP approved and EC for me and my family (wife and kids as dependendant). Now Do we all have to enter UK within 3 months from the date of EC stamped OR only myself has to do it and my family can come any time to UK.

Further, to be remain in UK for at least 9 months out of first year, is it applicable to myself only or to my entire family?

Where is the documentation regarding EC, after getting EC, after entering UK till FLR?

Sure Chess, I'm following up the postings but still not clear. Few basic questions:

1- My family (dependants) has to enter UK within 3 months after getting EC?
2- HSMP qualifier can only leave UK for 6 months in 4 years. Does this applicable to my family (dependants) as well?
3- Is there any document from home office which describe the details of policies/rules for HSMP qualifier after getting EC and till the completion of 4 years?

I dont think there is any such ruling.
HSMP qualifier can only leave UK for 6 months in 4 years. Does this applicable to my family (dependants) as well?
Thats slightly misleading. You cannot leave for 6 months. For the purpose of ILR your total leave away from the UK for personal reasons should not exceed 6 months in the preceeding 4 years and you should not be away from the country more than 3 months at a time.
Is there any document from home office which describe the details of policies/rules for HSMP qualifier after getting EC and till the completion of 4 years?
Once you finish your EC and are ready to come here - there is no specific policy guidlines for you. Why complicate something that remains extremly simple.
A. You are free to work or be self employed
B. You need to apply for extension at the end of one year
C. Your visa category leads to settlement.
