Salary Slip or DD

Hi,
I am M.Sc in computer science ( 25 years of age ) and currently doing a job as a lecture in a university in India and i will have an experience of 2 years at the end of june , as then i will be eligible for HSMP

My question is that

1.I get my salary in DD every month from the university and university doesnt give salary slips Is it the same? and will my bank statement and photocopy of DD from the university will be sufficient to prove my salary ?
(as i cannot claim salary points as my salary is low i.e.rupees 8000 per month ,as my experience and qulification is sufficient to have 65 points)

2. University do not cut income tax from my salary is that also a requirement that employer has to cut returns from the salary

Please guide It will be great help if i get some inforamtion in this
