Switch to Tier1 Dependant from Tier 2

Post by nivea » Wed Feb 16, 2011 2:29 pm

Hi,

I am currently in UK with my Tier 2 Work Permit Visa. My husband is on Tier 1 Post Study Visa.

He has applied for HSMP, can i apply for Dependent visa directly from UK along with him.

I am in UK from Past 2 years.

Thanks.

He cannot apply for HSMP as the scheme closed in 2008.

Assuming he will apply for Tier 1 (General), the answer to your question is no!

Unfortunately, that is correct. You will have to visit home country for changing the visa for yourself
