Queries regarding "EXPERIENCE and PAST EARNINGS"

Post by rajrally » Wed Mar 15, 2006 2:57 pm

Hello all Moderators and members

I am preparing my application under HSMP , to be filed as soon as I am satisfied with its presentation. Before this I have some queries to be answered, as after going through this forum, I have found that one needs to prepare the application very precisely. I would be great full if you can let me have your expert comments.

a. I am mainly claiming 50 points against the Experience segment of the application. Relating to this my query is

1. I have a experience of 10years and 6 months, in which I have worked for more than 5 years as a specialist. The experience belongs to a single "GROUP of Companies". The current one happens to be a Indo-Italian Joint venture company, based in Ludhiana.

I have a Bachelor of Science(BSc) degree but I got the job on the basis of Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Software , which I did from a Private company(which has now closed down and is not available for testifying the current course reference etc. Although the courseware broucher, duly attested by the Notary Public are available with me. "WILL THIS COMPUTER COURSE BE REGOGNIZED BY THE CASEWORKER"

2. The Profile of my job changed during these 10 years, starting as "In charge - Electronic Data Processing " , then working a "Manager- Electronic Data Processing and Exports" and now I am working as the CEO(General Manager) of the same Joint Venture company . As you can see that my job profile has change for the main "IT" line to "Management" now , but I have added no more educational qualification for the "Management" job , WILL THE CASE WORKER APPROVE SUCH KIND OF PROFILE SHIFTS"

b. The second query relates to the PAST EARNING segment, in which I am not claiming any points, but would like to claim at least 25 points

1. My salary Till Dec 2005 was 264000 PA(3420GBP-using the converter)but in Jan 2006 my salary was increased to 420000 PA (5442GBP), in the meeting of shareholders, which make me eligible for 25 points. Please confirm if I can claim those 25 points or the earning has to be more then the defined limit continuously at least for one year . I can provide these doucments as evidence.
a. The minutes of meeting/resolution of the board of directors
b. My bank account statement , where the salary is deposited
c. Salary Certificate issued by the DIRECTOR of the company

I hope to have expert help and comments as soon as possible.

Thanks for all your efforts you are putting in for people like us.

Regards

Rajveer

Honestly you have a good CV but the caseworker will not look at it that way.

1. your experience is quite ok for 25 points
2. Am afraid your earnings may not qualify you for 25 points
3. your degree if it's recognise may earn you 15 points as well.

But in my own opinion I'll advise you wait till around December before applying, this will give you apple time to consolidate your earnings.
best of luck anyway!

Dear Otun

Thanks for your response. I think at a point you are right. I might be a little too optimistic about getting 50 points for my "experience".

I counted 15 fo my BSc + 50 for my experience and 10 for my wife (graduate + working for 5 years in ICICI Bank) which made it 75 points now if The experience only counts for 25 points , I go down to 50.

As u suggest I must wait till Dec 06 to have the 25 points againt salary.

Thanks once again for your sincere advice.

regards

Dear Otun

In fact , I have realized a fact about my salary as such :

a. You are right that MY EARNING for the last one year should be more that 3500 Pounds to claim 25 points , irrespective of my salary increment , which was might be for the last 3 month , 1 month or 10 month ago. Now going by this point

My salary for the last 3 month (Jan till March 2006) : 105000 (35000 x 3)
My salary for the remaining 9 months (April to Dec 05) : 198000 (22000 x 9)
total earning for last 1 year 303000
Currency Conversion @ 80 : 3787.5 Pounds

This make me eligible for 25 points

Now for both the salaries , I will have to collect evidences , which I suggest can be
a. Salary certificates from the company
b. Minutes of the meeting of Board of Directors, in which my salary was increased
c. Bank Statement for the last one year , in which my salary is deposited.
d. New Income Tax Return ( which will eviden the above said breakup)

I will apply in Mid may by the time i would also have filed by Income Tax Return.

Now if this is correct, they may even allow 25 points for my experince but i still get 25 points for earning . 15 for my study and 10 points for my Spouse and hence 75 points , which make me eligible .

Please comment

best regards
