Can Tier (1) Dependent enter UK BEFORE MAIN applicant??

Post by amit4uk » Tue Mar 01, 2011 11:29 am

Hi,

I have a Tier 1 Visa and My wife has a Tier 1 dependent visa.

I have not entered UK after stamping.

Just want to check if i my wife can enter UK before me?

I Don't think it as an issue as both are valid visa and the sequence of entry should not be an issue- but would like to have your advise?

Thanks
Amit

Not advised, though you may not find an "official document" to suggest one way or the other.

One must remember that the dependant right to live in the UK is based on the right of the main migrant to live in the UK. So, if the main migrant is not yet in the UK, dependant cannot be expected to have that right just by virtue of an immigration stamp.

IMHO ...
