Help required regarding Tier 1 extension

Hi,

I've a valid UK Tier 1 general visa which is valid from 1st Sep 2010 till 1st Sep 2012. I'm currently at India and planning to come to UK in the 1st week of Apr.

1. Will I face any issues as I'm coming to UK after almost 8 months of visa being issued.

2. If I can prove my last 12 months earning then , is it sufficient to apply for the extension or there can be a issue due to period of stay.

3. Job : Will this 1.3 yrs remaining visa validity will affect my job prospective.

No although keep in mind extension criteria will need to be met

UKBA have suggested what the extension criteria is likely to be, but there is a slight debate on the current interpretation although it is likely to remain the same as the criteria as your intial Tier 1 application.

Not really given you can prove that you will have the option to extend it.

just two things:

1- 8 months will affect your ILR , if your intention was to get one after your extension.

2- back to your question 3 , it depends on companies and type of role you are after. Permenant roles prefer longer visas or otherwise they'll get you sign you a contract which runs out on your visa expiry . As said, depends on the sector and job type.
