Ties 1 Dependent processing time seasonality?

Post by FreakzoiD » Thu Jun 02, 2011 7:51 pm

Hello friends,

I am on a Tier-1 visa and my wife is on a Tier-1 PSW that expires early next year. She will need to move to Tier 1 Dependent before Jan 2011. She is currently employed full time in the UK, and will need to take leave to go back to India to apply.

Now I was glancing through the processing times thread in this forum, and current processing times (since February 2011) seem to be around 5-6 weeks on average, whereas it was 1-2 weeks back in July to November 2010. Was this just a coincidence, or are autumn months generally much faster in processing times? (Monsoon is generally not marriage season in India, so there might be some logic to this?) My wife is planning to apply in September / October, as she will find it much easier to take leave for 2 weeks rather than 6.

I know that nothing can be guaranteed, but any advice on this matter will be much appreciated as she needs to book tickets soon.

Many thanks.

i think it depends on the amount of backlog they have and simplicity of the application. some cases take longer than others. so just apply and good luck.
