please help for point based calculator

please help for point based calculator

I have hsmp work permit letter saying application made on 15th Feb 2008. and I applied for my EC in August and got Tier 1 Visa stamped in September for 3 year till september 2011

Now when I am trying calculate my points for tier 1 extension in point based calculator on UKBA webisite, there is a question of date of first successful application ?...

As I made application first time for work permit 15th feb 2008 so I put same date but it says

You must enter a date in the past on or after 29 February 2008.

Could you please advise me which date do I need to put my initial application date ? or my EC application date ?
