Tier1(G) out of country for 6 months coming back for Extn...

I'm on Tier1(G) which has extn in March 2012, but for last 6 months i'm out of UK. There was an assault on

me in Jan2011 which was the reason i'm out of UK. I want to come back to apply for an extn or by Feb2012 i'l

finish 10 yrs in UK. Despite 6 months out of UK am i eligible to apply for an extn or Indefinite leave to remain

as I have Police crime ref. number because of the assault. If i'm eligible to go ahead then do i have enough

time to show as self employed as i've to leave the job when i left UK.
Please advise, appreciate your help.

Have you convicted for something in while you were in UK? If it is so I doubt whether your conviction will show up at the port when you forward your passport.

No i haven't....it was the people belong to my landlord came to collect rental earlier than due and stolen my laptop and mobile and i left with serious wounds....
