Extending Tier 1 General Education requirement 31 March

Post by tier1tier1 » Sat Oct 01, 2011 2:13 pm

Hello, I fall into the category as one of those that got a Tier 1 issued, but applied before, 31 March 2009 and before 5 April 2011 with a bachelor's degree. I have read on some other posts that when you apply for extension you just have to tick that you have already proven your education. However, I have viewed the application form at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... l-form.pdf and it quite clearly states this requirement.
i.e. taken from the form -
* An applicant cannot claim points for a Bachelor’s degree if :
a) his/her last grant of entry clearance was as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules in
place between 31 March 2009 and 5 April 2010

Is this the correct application form for extending Tier 1 general and has it been updated?
Thanks everyone.

1. If you "applied" before 31-March-2009, then the statement is irrelevant for you.
2. The current version of the application form will always be available on the UKBA website.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
