Tier 1 Extention + Child born in UK

Post by bajaj1 » Tue Jan 10, 2012 12:51 pm

Hi Gurus,

Need some help ! Here is my story

Student Visa Aug 2002 till September 2007.

Got Work Permit in July 2007 valid till June 2010

But went for Tier 1 in March 2009 - valid until March 2012.

Since I will have only 4 years and 9 months end of March I cant apply for ILR, so planning Tier 1 Extension. Then once I get passport and visa back I will apply for ILR in June/July this year.

My wife is on dependent visa, we were blessed with beautiful and loving daughter in July. I have just got her Indian passport.

My query is, can I exclude her when I go for Tier 1 extenstion next month and then again when I apply for ILR in July.

Once we get ILR in July can I register her using MN1 ?

This will save us few quids, as I will be writing cheque to home office twice in just 4 months time first for extension and then for ILR.

Any suggestion will help !

Thanks guys

Thanks for replying Vinny

I understand that I need not to include her in ILR.

But I cant find any information for Tier 1 extention, if I dont get her visa when I am extending mine, will that not cause a problem later ?

sorry Just wanted to be sure.

Do click on given link above for more info. As long as she doesn't travel, she does not need to apply for leave to remain.
