Can i move in process skilled worker case to another country

Post by stariq2008 » Tue Sep 02, 2008 4:51 pm

Hi, my name is Salman. Currently, I'm a student at Middlesex University pursuing MSc Business IT. I've completed my BSc Computer Science and Mathematics from University of Toronto, Canada in 2006. (i was in canada with my parents under their immigration case) I also have work experience from US and Canada. I worked at IBM Canada for two years. I applied for canadian immigration in Pakistan in 2006 when i went back from Canada. My case has been in process since september 2006. It takes about
4-5 years for processing in Pakistan (2 years has been passed). Now I want to know if i can transfer my case to London,UK (im in London on a student visa valid until may 2009). I'll be done with my MSc by January 2009. After that my plan is to work full-time with IGS. Will the processing time be changed if i move the case to London? I tried contacting Canadian High commission in London, no response. I also tried contacting High commission in Pakistan, they said transferring the file wont affect the processing time since i ve initially applied in Pakistan. I need some guidance about how to go about this? or should I just leave it the way it is in Pakistan? Another thing is that the situation in Pakistan is getting worse day by day and i heard in the news that foreign embassies might be closed in near future in Pakistan. So that's another reason i want to move my case. Please let me know. Thanks.

Salman
