Hi All,
I am going to apply for a US tourist visa next mont from London. I am currently here in the UK on a post-study visa and working in college on a fixed-term contract until July 2013.
I am earning about £22,000 annually but since I do not have savings more than £1000 I decided to ask for a sponsorship from my God mother who is a Nurse in California. I have know the family since I was 6 months old and I am like a part of the family.
I am going to include the following documents:
*letter from my employer
*pay slips for the last 6 months
*letter from the university saying that i am doing a teaching course which will end next year in july 2013.
*letter from my landlord ssaying that i am in a contract
*letter from my bank stating I have £2000
*pictures with the sponsor and the family
*skype and facebook to prove communication
*baptismal certificate to prove that she is my God mother
My Godmother sent the ff documents:
*form I-134
*photocopies of the last 3 years income tax return
*Letter from Kaiser permanente hospital
*her printed pay slip
*letter of invitation to me
*letter to the consulate
*copy of her US passport
*a printed copy of what they call Vanguard (401k retirement plan)
My Question is:
1.) on the form I-134 affidavit of support she wrote that she has a savings but she didnt not send me any bank letter or book. SHOULD I ASK FOR SAVINGS BANK LETTER or the RETIREMENT PLAN is enough?
She said that the 401K is a savings too and she can withdraw money anytime.
2.) She also mentioned that she has 3 houses in america. Does she need a proof for this? If yes, then what proof is it?
3.) on the affidavit of support i-134 question 11. she wrote room and board for the lenght of her visa and 300 dollars weekly. Will the visa counsellor question this? I am only going for 2 weeks since I am working here in the UK
4.) Form questions 8 she did not mention her son as a dependant but he is 27 years old and studying in the philippines. Should she mention this?
are there anything missing? Can anyone please advise I want to see America
