DUI For uk citizen but will not in country for court date

Post by rmevents » Sun Sep 20, 2009 3:25 pm

I have recently had an car accident and was done for DUI - i explained to the officer and the judge that i was a UK citizen and would not be in court when its comes to the date. I was done for 0.09 whic his just over, i was released on bail - $1100 but my question is.. What do i do now ? Is there a fine or something you can pay before hte court date. Second question is i work on the Cruise ships and i am due ot re enter the country on a C1 D visa next month, will this effect be re entering the country ? Is is best to hire a lawyer on my behalf and let him go to court - both the judge and the officer said that i did not need ot be present at court.

I am concerned that if i dont do any thing, they will not let me enter the country

Any suggestions?
