Visa interview in London for K1 finance visa

Post by nermie » Sat Mar 17, 2012 10:25 pm

I am currently in the US on a Canadian passport and am returning to London in April to attend a visa interview to obtain a K1 finance visa. I'm a dual Canadian (by birth), UK (adopted) citizen. The visa application was made from London.

In any case, I need to attend this visa interview. Can someone advise on what takes place? My docs are being sent over and we received approval of the petition pending the interview stage.

Do I walk out of the visa interview with my approval and can then just fly back to get married? Or do I need to wait post the interview to receive this? Also I've heard about a medical exam. But I've not received any info on this from the UCIS centre. Do I really have to submit to a medical exam? I've also heard about having to prove a vaccinations record. I can't imagine how I can get this from my childhood medical records. I'm no spring chicken. Anyone have any advice?
