I have a query about the way to go about applying for OCI for both my child and myself. I got British citizenship by naturalization last year. My child was born here last year too and is a natural born UK citizen. I want to apply for OCI for both of us this year (for her as one parent being Indian and for me on the basis of being Indian by birth) and it seems a tricky process. I believe I have to apply for a surrender and renunciation of Indian passport prior to applying for OCI. I intend to make both of our applications on the same day even those we're applying on different grounds. can anyone tell me which way to go about doing this for a successful application and would there be any problem in applying this way?
