Renunciation service withdrawn but fees not refunded

Hi,

Renunciation of Indian citizenship is now withdrawn but the website is still not updated. Its a shame that they are still giving out appointments and even taking the fees. I could have paid at the appointment but did the mistake of paying Rs. 8000 online and have been emailing the HCI London via email for last 3 weeks with no response.

Any suggestions on how I can get my money back?

I'm also looking for answers on this topic since I applied in June 2024. My OCI has arrived as well - without having received or submitted my Renunciation certificate. VFS Goswell advised me to write to 'inf.london@mea.gov.in' to enquire about why I haven't received my Renunciation certificate but I haven't heard back. Does anyone have any other email address that I can write to in order to get an answer? It seems like VFS has planned to quietly keep the fees for the certificate without refunding the amount to applicants. At the very least, they owe people a letter or some communication about the same.
