Upto 2 yrs you can be outside the country.

What's the cons by the way? I thoughts advantages of British passport outweigh disadvantages.

Hi,
I think the cons apply to me and not necessarily to everyone
I want to expand our business in india and being a british citizen is not that easy as i wont be a indian citizen, i can be OCI but thats renewing every year
and i will travel to saudi arabia often and again being a british citizen is not better than being indian
Regards

You do not need to renew OCI card every year. It's a life time card. With OCI You have all of the rights of indian citizen, except you can not purchase argriculturals lands in india mainly; you can not vote in india, but this is going to change very soon as a NRI voting bill is being passed in indian parliament.
