hi there my gf is from the usa and has disables and we what to get married and do not know how to go about it.i do not have a job that pays that way and i really love her and i would like to now if we could get married here.it is a same sex couple.i love her so much and i can't find out how to go about this.from alice

You can have a Civil Partnership in the UK, but if she arrives in the UK as a visitor and the immigration officer at the airport suspects her intention is not to simply 'visit' she may well be refused entry.
She won't be able to switch to a settlement visa from within in the UK, she would have to return to the US after the ceremony and apply from there.
The fee for a settlement visa is currently £826.00

You will have to show that you have a minimum of £155.45 available weekly as a couple after rent or mortgage, council tax and any credit/loan repayments have been paid.

she is get return tickets i am paying for them for her and she is give me back the money and we said to each other we can take as long as we need .i lve with my mum and dad and work all the time.we have been together 7 months we do not what to rush it we just what to know what to do i have never been with someone i love like i love her

if she is coming to the UK with the intention of marrying./forming a civil partnership then she needs to apply for a marriage visitor visa and then return home to apply for a visa with a view to settlement as explained by Casa.

Alternatively she can apply for a proposed civil partner visa which will allow you to form a civil partnership within 6 months and then apply for further leave from within the UK as a civil partner of a settled person however this will mean that sheneeds to pay £826 for the fiance visa and then a further £561 to remain here for a further two years after the civil partnership before being able to apply for settlement. She can only apply for the propose CP visa if you have met each other and meet the other requirements for this visa (including adequate accommodation and maintenance)

what is your nationality/status in the UK?

ESTA is for travellers to the US not from the US. I assume you mean that she will be seeing leave to enter at the border in the UK as a visitor as she is a non-visa national.

However you asked whether you can get married in the UK hence why we are advising you on whether you can do this - if you don't intend on marrying whilst she is over for this trip what is the point of your thread?

In that case perhaps seek advice closer to the time once you have actually met her and have firmer plans.

She will need to provide evidence to the immigration officer on arrival of her ability to fund her stay and her intention to return at the end of the visit.

I am losing patience with this thread. You haven't met yet and are not planning on forming a civil partnership until next year. there is no point talking about the cost of visas, requirements to obtain such visas, and whether she can apply for citizenship e etc at the moment because the rules and costs are likely to be different by then.

why? if you are not planning on marrying during this visit and she is just coming for 2 months then she can seek entry at the border without a visa, as she is from the US and therefore a non-visa national.

If she is a US national, coming to the UK for a visit only, (not coming to the UK to marry/form a civil partnership), she does not need a visa. See do you need a visa
