There is a thread in this or the Tier 1 General forum which covered the best strategy to get an appointment, find it and read it.

If you are randomly trying you have no chance.

Otherwise pay an immigration consultant/lawyer for one of their preallocated slots.

Getting an appointment inside the 42 day window is extremely difficult as it requires someone else cancelling the same type of appointment you want, and you finding it and booking it before anyone else does.

I'm not sure of immigration consultant recommendations but others should be able to help.

I got an appointment yesterday in the 42 day window. They do come up, you just have to be quick as they're on there for a couple of minutes at most. I'm sure a lot of it is luck too.

I was checking every 10-15 minutes for pretty much three days before I got mine.

Good luck!

Yeah, I remember! It's a nightmare, but it's worth it if you can check really frequently. Since looking 3 days ago, I've seen four or five cancellations pop up but only one was in the specific week we wanted.
