There is clearly a problem or reason for the delay in processing Tier 1 extensions. But we don't know what it is. For whatever reason, they have been processing those that went for biometrics on 21 June for, what, maybe 3 weeks? And then 20 June for 3 weeks before that.
I didn't ask for an update on my own application as I understand they can't provide that. But I did ask for her to find out what they problem is and let me know.
If anyone else is interested in writing to their MP it's really easy - you can use this website http://www.theyworkforyou.com/ to find out who your MP is and write them a message. I've done it before (different issue, different MP) and received a response (by letter) about a week later.
Maybe if the Border Agency receive a lot of MP letters, they'd be spurred on to sort out this delay.
