Peo confusion

Post by DANUBE » Tue Nov 13, 2012 1:37 pm

Hi

I have some confusion with Ilr, hoping someone can help me ?

We went online last night to search for an appointment for my partner at Solihull and it asked: do you want to use the premium service and then said if you choose this you cannot change it later. We just want the standard peo appointment i think fee is £1377 for main applicant so if i just tick no - we'll get a standard peo appointment , right ?

Also, the form says that both passports are required for the both the applicant and the partner but mine has expired - i assume i'll have to renew this?

I have previously asked a question on here with regards to my marriage certificate as it has an error on it and it appears that the marriage cert is not normally requested for Ilr applications.....if we do however need to hand it in - do i need to get it translated ? Is it likely that they will question the error if we apply in person ?

Sorry - one last thing, when calculating the date to apply do we have to deduct, out of the 2 year qaulifying period any days my partner has been out of the country ? He has only been away for a couple of weeks holiday.

Thanks is advance

Nope, you can also apply online and send in documentation later. What you wanted was a in-person PEO appointment, which is called a Premium appointment.

I guess so, renew your passport and carry both to the appointment.

I am assumming you are applying for ILR. In that case its not a required document, it is an optional document for dependent cohabitation proof. As long as you have sufficient other proofs for the same, I think you should be fine.

You have not mentioned what you are applying fo so kind of hard to comment on this.

Thank you for your reply (very much) - so we need to select the premium appointment which in effect is just a standard 'in person' application.

Sorry - yes ILR, my partner is applying for ILR (marriage).

Oh - i forgot something else ! We've forgotten which month we met & moved in together. We could remember this at the time we originally applied for the 2 yr spouse visa but it's been that long i can only remember it was spring - what if our dates for this dont match exactly the dates we originally provided (dam should have kept a copy)
