ILR (Spouse) Cost

Post by JacketandCoat » Sat Aug 10, 2013 2:37 pm

Hi there,
I was granted a temporary spouse visa in July 2011.

I now have to transfer this to the second stage ILR, but have a few questions about the process.

1. As my initial visa was granted long before 8 July 2012, do I need to submit form SET(M)? Or is there a different form for me?

2. Are the visa fees the same for pre and post Jul 2012 applications?

3. I had my biometrics taken for my initial visa - do I really need to pay to do this again?

I'm finding the whole process incredibly confusing - it's like UKBA goes out of their way to make it so...

Thanks for your help!!

If you have spent a 2 year probationary period in the UK as a spouse then you should apply for settlement using set(m) from 28 days before your 2 year period completes and before your visa expires or if required for some reason, extend your stay using flr(m). You will have to do biometrics again, you can apply by post or at a peo, if applying by post, see the Settlement Checking Service (click)

You need a good consultant who will suggest you how you can proper guidance to get all about spouse visa. Geo Immigration is a good choice for this. This is a well known company in Uk, who helps people as per their ground in law.
