visiting visa for fiance

Post by kazi87831 » Sun May 08, 2016 4:56 pm

Hi I am a South African who has an indefinite to remain in the UK.i want to apply for my fiancé who is also South African to come and visit me in the UK for a month in August.I was told I need to have £3000 worth of funds available to my account for the visitors visa to be successful. I was shocked at the amount stated because he will be here for a month and will be living with me.it was quoted that he needs to have £100-£150 a day I find that to be too much for just a month. :(

Could you please advice me on alternatives that I have if I cannot have the full funds of £3000 by the time I file for the visitors visa.

Thank you

Unlikely to be granted (but not impossible) since so many in the past have used a visit visa as an (erroneous) attempt to bypass the fiancee/spouse rules.

You don't need X amount if money, just concrete reasons to return, and having a fiancee in the UK isn't going to help.
