Passports not returned from NTL/BRP application

Its been around 3 weeks since I was issued NTL/BRP and got it by mail, but still I havent received my 2 Passports (Older one had visa on it) that I sent with the NTL/BRP application.

When the application was on process I had asked for Passports return as I had needed it for Identification purposes but then I returned it back to them to continue the NTL/BRP application process and I got my NTL/BRP some time after.

Today again I have sent a request for my Passports return via:

Is it a normal scenario or am I about to loose my passports :(

It would not be normal to lose a passport.

So I finally got both my passport like almost after 4 weeks of getting my BRP/NTL
