Heathrow Immigration - Standard Visitor Visa

Hello
I am travelling to the UK with my Mother on a Standard Visitor Visa for a one week holiday.
My Mother is sponsoring me and paying for the trip since I am still studying. If my Mother decided not to travel would I still be able to enter the UK alone? Is it possible that Immigration Officer will stop me from entering without my Mother since she is my sponsor? I am 23 by the way.
