Switch from student to unmarried partner visa

Post by LouisTsui » Wed Feb 13, 2008 11:13 am

Hi,

A friend of mine switched her student visa to unmarried partner visa recently, does she still has to finish the course that granted her last student visa. Or she can quit the course, since she is now on unmarried partner visa anyway.

Thanks

Switch from student to unmarried partner visa

If she is on an unmarried partner status, then her conditions of stay would be different to that of a student. I think that she would be free to quit being a student. But why doesn't she want to finish her studies?
Any conditions of your stay will be marked clearly in your passport. You should make sure you understand them.

It is because she is offered a full-time job.
