FLR(FP) Sections 8 Clarification

Hi all,

I am extending my 2.5 year visa for a British child using form FLR(FP) using Family life as a parent for the 10 year route. I would be glad if someone could clarify a few questions for me.

The questions are section 8
Question 8.1 to 8.2

8.1 The form says Full name as given in section 3.5(section 3.5 is for dependants) since I have no dependants do i leave this side just blank

8.2 follows with what is your relationship with this child?

Form Section Pre notes:

Complete this Section if you are the single parent of a child/children in the UK and you have sole
or shared responsibility for the child/children, or access rights to them.
If you are applying on the basis of your family life as the parent of a child in the UK on the 10
year route, you only need to complete questions 8.1 and 8.2.

Section 8 asks for a follow on question from section 3.5 and this is the FLR FP form
Could someone explain how to go on with this section since I have no dependants applying with me and am a single parent with sole rights to my child?

Hi

As this question was still bugging me, I thought of calling the home office for clarification. I spoke to the team dealing with settlement and was advised that because there are no dependents on the application the section 8.1 will be the the name of the child I am depending on. 8.1a will be the parent in that case my name. 8.2 my acces to the child.
