NTL Transfer of ILR to BRP

Hi everyone,
I am getting the BRP for the first time. Can anyone share some experience and timeline for the application. Also what happens to my old ILR in my old passport, does it get cancelled?

You can't have two ILRs? Can you? Old one will be cancelled. It's my assumption and not an experience.
