Sefl-assessment tax

Hi,
Last year I had a tier5 visa, doing an internship in UK.
After my internship, I got a position, so applied for tier 2 visa (and got it).
Am I required to fill my tax self-assessment form, in the HMRC portal (for 16/17), knowing that last year I was under tier5 visa?
