Signature on invitation letter

Hi guys,

I would like to invite my friend to visit me in the UK (i am holding Tier 1 entrepreneur dependent visa). The main purpose of invitation is our daughter's christening. All the financial costs during the trip will be covered by my friend.I prepared an invitation letter and sent copy of passport and residents permit.

My question is

1. whether this letter should contain wet signature or scanned copy is enough?
2. do i need to provide any proof of our friendship?
