funds for visit visa

Hola!

Does anyone have any experience in applying for a visit visa from India recently?

My brother who is 30 and has a permanent job would like to visit for about 10 days. How much funds does he have to show? I also intend to write a letter that I will be responsible for his accommodation and expenses when he is here.

Do ownership of property count towards funds too?
