Hi all,
I’ve paid £1200 IHS fee on January 2016 and this amount was required by the online system in order to complete a spouse visa application for my wife and meant to be 5 years visa.
The outcome of the application was 2.5 years and didn’t get the refund, by asking the solicitor he said you can fill the same IHS payment ref. No. In the next visa extension application and You don’t have to pay again.
I’ve followed the solicitor’s instructions which wasn’t true, because the Home Office have asked for new £500 IHS payment in to be made in 10 days during the application processing period or the application would be returned.
I’ve paid the new amount and get the application approved.
The most painful part while calling the company the have contract with home office to deal with IHS refunds, I got charged around £25 per call as it costs £1.50/min, and the person I spoke to wasn’t english and very poor accent asking to spell every single word I said to charge more money.
I didn’t hear from them since that time and supposed to get every thing sorted in 15 working days.
Another try I’ve sent an email which costs £5 and included the call ref. No. to make clear for them, the Home Office redirected me to the same company and received an email saying it takes 15 working days, I am about 2 months after their message and havn’t heard from them.
I believe that I am entitled for £600 refund, and should be refunded automatically after the first application.
Could you please give an advice?
Thanks in advance
