ILR-Emergency Travel to Home Country

Post by saif230 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 11:33 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am in a really difficult situation, i would be grateful if anyone can give me information or advice on this matter.
I have refugee ILR and i have to travel to my home country due to family emergency.
Home Office created my Travel Documents in 2 weeks as i had informed them of my situation.
what should I do? shall i notify home office of my emergency visit to home country or hire a lawyer before i go?

My assumption is that you were given the refugee status in this country possibly because you claimed in the past that you could not return to your home country. Going back now could mean that your original claim, based on which your refugee status was granted, may have not been in fact genuine and so you acquired such status here via deception. So potentially HO may decide to revoke your ILR if they conclude deception has taken place and if you choose to visit your home country.

I do not see how this is going to change anything. If you go back, your could be accused of deception
