SSC opening from today.

I’ve been looking into the new visa system and we’re due to do our ILR within the next few months. I’ve been keeping an eye on the time lines and they seem to be really long lately, averaging 4-5 months, with this new system starting in November ‘18 and new centres opening form today, are we expecting the process to speed up? Surely that must have been part of the reason for the change. It was encouraging to see the cost won’t increase for this year. Any info/advice is much appreciated.
