Applying for Student Finance

Post by monchiluna » Tue Jul 23, 2019 11:59 am

Hello everyone! I'm hoping someone might be able to help.

I'm currently trying to apply for student finance for a university course that starts this September, 2019.

My husband is a British citizen and we entered the country using the Surinder Singh route back in 2015. I've been living in the country since and have my Residence card of a Family member of a Union Citizen.

The thing is, as I'm reading the application form for the student loan, I'm finding it hard to pinpoint exactly which category applies to me. The only options are :

Child of a Turkish worker (nope)
Settled status in the UK (nope)
Has your husband been granted refugee status? (nope)
Has your husband been granted humanitarian protection? (nope)
Have you or your husband been granted ILTR (nope)
Have you been granted ILTR (nope)
And finally :

Are you or your husband a European Economic area (EEA) national or Swiss national who is working has worked or is looking for work in the UK?

As you can see these options don't really apply to me unless the last one is the accurate one? But, is it?

I would really appreciate if someone could enlighten me in this as I'm a little lost.

Thank you!
